1840 2d Blue, a F-VFU RARE HORIZONTAL PAIR, with four good-to-LARGE margins all round, except at top right corner 'DH' which is just nicked, on ATTRACTIVE LONG ENTIRE Coldstream to Alnwick on 18th February 1842 (LATE USE of the first 2d Blue), neatly cancelled with two fine black MXs, leaving much of the HEAD CLEAR on 'DH'. 1841 2d Blue, a good used+ single, with four clear-to-LARGE margins, but horizontal crease, on ATTRACTIVE clean SMALL WRAPPER LEEDS to Kendal on 14th July 1843, heavily cancelled and tied with smudged but identifiable strike of the VERY SCARCE DISTINCTIVE LEEDS 'SPECIAL' MX - note strongly curved and sharply long-pointed inner cross, and closed outer cove NW of this Maltese Cross, which is VERY SCARCE on the 1841 2d Blue, and RARE ON COVER.
