1855 1d Red-brown, a VFU single in a strong Red-brown shade approaching BRICK-RED (UNLISTED on C3), WELL-CENTRED, with FULL PERFS, on a somewhat scruffy flimsy creased London local envelope of 7th July 1855, neatly cancelled with London Inland '40' numeral, with a faint but legible UNUSUAL 'TOOLEY ST' STRAIGHT-LINE in blue on the obverse. Happily the stamp is unaffected by the creasing apart from a minute wrinkle in the NE corner perf! Blur SW, and letters misplaced low and low left. Cat.£90+. £22.50
